Interschool Sport

At Castlemaine Secondary College, interschool sport provides students with the opportunity to represent the college, develop their skills, and compete in a positive and supportive environment. The competition is governed by School Sport Victoria (SSV), with students having the opportunity to participate in events against other schools.

Our primary focus is on students gaining experience competing against other schools while building confidence, resilience and a strong sense of connection to the college community.

Students are encouraged to challenge themselves, support one another, and demonstrate the college values of Aspiration, Respect and Empathy both on and off the field. Through interschool sport, students develop important life skills including communication, leadership, teamwork, perseverance, and social confidence.

Our interschool sport program includes opportunities to participate in:

  • Swimming
  • Athletics
  • Cross Country
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • Volleyball
  • Soccer
  • Netball

We are proud of the way our students represent the college with integrity, sportsmanship and inclusivity, while striving for personal and team success.
