VCE (Victorian Certificate of Education)
The Flexible Learning Option (FLO) provides a safe, supportive and inclusive environment for students in Years 8–10 who have become disengaged from mainstream schooling.
FLO offers meaningful, hands-on learning experiences that help students reconnect with education, contribute to their local community, and build positive relationships. A strong focus is placed on developing social and emotional skills, aligned with the principles of the Berry Street Education Model.
The Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) is a senior secondary qualification that prepares students for university, TAFE, apprenticeships, and employment.
At CSC, VCE offers a broad range of subjects, allowing students to tailor their studies to their interests, strengths, and future goals. Students complete a combination of Units 1–4 subjects over two years (typically Years 11 and 12).
VCE is well suited to students who:
- Are considering university pathways
- Enjoy academic learning
- Work well independently
- Want a wide choice of subject options
Students who successfully complete VCE receive an ATAR (Australian Tertiary Admission Rank), which is used for university entrance.
Our staff work closely with students and families to ensure each student selects subjects aligned to their future aspirations.
